Lake Park society presents Pop-Ups in the Park this summer!

Their nature-based booth for kids and families aims to create meaningful connections between young people and their natural environment. The program fosters the next generation of stewards through art, play, education, and observation. 

Meet at the main beach picnic shelter. FREE! Drop-in, suitable for all ages.

This July and August, neighbourhood parks across Courtenay will transform into vibrant community gathering spaces filled with FREE activities for families, including music, games, creative play, and connection. 

Stop by the Lewis Park and connect with LINC Youth Centre, who will be bringing games, music, snacks, and plenty of fun for visitors throughout the summer. 

Presented by the City of Courtenay. All are welcome.

Free family friendly movie nights on Saturday nights at 7:00 PM, from July 4th to August 22nd. Bring a blanket or chair and make yourself comfortable. No registration is required.

Take advantage of open gym times and drop into the Comox Community Centre to play a variety of sports. Equipment provided. 
Children under 10 years old must be supervised by a parent/caregiver.

The facility is thoughtfully designed to provide a safe and engaging environment for kids to explore and learn!

The Parent Child Mother Goose Program is a joyful, interactive, group program in which parents their young children learn to share the power and pleasure of rhymes, songs, and stories. 

This unique intergenerational group combines Mother Goose with a group of residents to promote connection, understanding, mutual respect between generations. 

For children birth to 24 months alongside their caregiver.

These drop-in park meet-ups facilitated by MFRC staff are a an opportunity to connect, play, and discover new parks with your little ones!

Drop-in for one or try them all! No need to register, all ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Mother Goose Baby Bounce is a collaboration between Vancouver Island Regional Library and Child Care Resource and Referral. 

Lean rhymes, tickles, songs, and more! Encourage brain development, early literacy skills, and meet new people while you're at it. 

This is a FREE program for babies 0-12 months along with their caregiver.

There will always be tea, cookies, and great company! Facilitated group discussions and occasional guest speakers/visitors from relevant organizations within the community, but mostly just informal connection for parents with infants and toddlers.

The Toy Library is a place where families and caregivers can borrow toys. This is a money-saving, environmentally friendly way to refresh your child's toys.

Memberships at the Toy Library are $20/year.

Rooted in holistic guidance, celebratory traditions, and self-care practices, we enrich and vitalize our cross-cultural parenting community. Enjoy tea and cookies in a relaxed and confidential space where you can reflect, share, laugh, cry and gain confidence. Feel free to drop-in anytime during the session - we understand the challenges of leaving the house with a baby!
