Come and play, climb, run and have fun with your child on Sunday mornings! There are cars, toys, climbing toys, and more. Parent participation is required.

Hummingbirds provides a healthy breakfast and culturally based programming for parents and children aged 0-6 years. 
It is a great opportunity to enjoy child-centred play though planned activities and free play with cultural components. 
Parents can also find out more about parenting and family supports in the Comox Valley. These supports reflect the current need, interest, and cultural values of the families participating.

Bring your energy as you skip, hop, and run to this hour of fun! Invite your friends and get ready to play. An adult must participate and is responsible for supervision of their child. This program is based on weekly registration.

Meet new friends and enjoy some fun, unstructured play with climbers, ride-on toys, and more! This gym time is self-supervised, and children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
All children under the age of six years are welcome, along with their parent/caregiver. This play time is by donation (suggested $2).

You are invited to craft, chat, and connect with other Cumberland parents of children under 6 years old. This is a FREE adult only activity, materials provided.

The Dove Creek Playgroup is a FREE, drop-in program for all children ages 0-6 with their families/caregivers. 
It provides connections for both you and your young child(ren)! These informal parent and tot mornings will offer plenty of fun, play-based activities, as well as special guest speakers from local community organizations.

Today there will be outdoor water and sand play so please come prepared to get wet and possibly dirty!

For mothers and babies, this group focuses on self-care, postpartum adjustment, and life after baby.

Is your little one starting to explore the world on their hands and knees? Come enjoy some social time with other parents and babies who are in the same stage. Some of the space will have mats for those who need a soft place to land. Other fun toys will also be available. Adult participation is required. 
For children 18 months and under. 

This activity is $3/drop-in.

This drop-in group is for parents with children from 0-5 years of age, along with a parent or caregiver. 
It is an opportunity for children to meet new friends in a fun and playful environment that encourages growth and learning. Activities may include crafts, games, play stations, songs and stories at the Black Creek Community Centre.

Today will be a Mother's Day Tea! Enjoy a warm drink. a special treat, and enter for a chance to win the self-care basket. Also, Panziera Photography will set up a photo booth and will be available by donation.

Drop-in story time for children of all ages, accompanied by a caregiver. Enjoy songs, stories, rhymes, and other fun!

Fun filled parent and tot program on Thursdays for 1-3 year olds with adult.

Little Movers is play that is suited for young children that are just getting moving and comfy in navigating their surroundings. Parent participation is required. 
This program is $3/drop-in.

Join this weekly session with a local doula and postpartum parenting specialist to support your journey through matrescence - from birth, and until you’re fully settled and thriving postpartum. Rooted in holistic guidance, celebratory traditions, and self-care practices, we enrich and vitalize our cross-cultural parenting community. Enjoy tea and cookies in a relaxed and confidential space where you can reflect, share, laugh, cry and gain confidence. Feel free to drop-in anytime during the session - we understand the challenges of leaving the house with a baby! 

This is a FREE drop-in program with facilitator Serena Oliviera.

The Cumberland Recreation Centre Gym is open for self-supervised basketball, floor hockey, soccer, badminton, free play and more. 
This time slot is open to all ages, young children must be supervised by a caregiver. 
This is a free, drop-in program.

Family Circle is an early childhood program that is both based onsite at the Wachiay Friendship Centre and through land-based teaching. The focus is on sharing the multi-indigenous, multi-generational traditions, cultures, food and languages represented in our community.

The Toy Library is a place where families and caregivers can borrow toys. It is a money-saving, environmentally friendly way to refresh your child's toy selection. 
Membership at the Toy Library is $20/year.

The Courtenay Library is hosting a drop-in play day on Saturday mornings!

The program room will be set up with toys & activities for a range of ages (mostly 0-5). A chance for self-directed play for young ones and social time for caregivers. Stop by and check it out
